UT Tyler Partners with Higher Ed Institutions for Pharmacy Early Assurance Program

UT Tyler President Julie V. Philley Signing with East Texas Baptist UniversityThe University of Texas at Tyler Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy partnered with colleges and universities throughout East Texas for the Early Assurance Program, aimed at strengthening the pipeline of locally trained pharmacists to serve the region.

“This collaboration marks an exciting chapter for the Fisch College of Pharmacy and our local institutions,” said President Julie V. Philley. “By partnering with these exceptional institutions, we are paving the way for students to pursue their passion for pharmacy and health care, while staying rooted in the communities they know and love.”

The early assurance program provides students from colleges and universities a pathway for a successful career in pharmacy by providing workshops on applying for pharmacy school, mentorship and professional development opportunities.

The partnering institutions include:

  • Tyler Junior College
  • East Texas Baptist University
  • Panola College
  • Sam Houston State University
  • Stephen F. Austin State University
  • Trinity Valley Community College
