UT Tyler to Host Teachers Law School Workshop June 27

Participants will learn about relevant issues pertaining to public education and the law

The University of Texas at Tyler College of Education and Psychology is hosting a free, professional hybrid workshop addressing important legal issues facing public educators.

“Teachers Law School on Education and Law” will be 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27.
Participants can attend in person at the Soules College of Business, Room 103 or online and receive continuing education credit. To register, visit TAMUT.edu/TeachersLawSchool.

Topics include bullying and the impact of David’s Law, preventing and addressing sexual
harassment, first amendment issues in education and artificial intelligence. Event co-hosts are Texas
A&M University–Texarkana, East Texas Baptist University and Stephen F. Austin State University.
The event is presented and sponsored by the East Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial
Advocates, or ABOTA.

“We are excited to join our education partners and co-host this free event for K-12 teachers in East
Texas,” said Dr. Pradeep “Max” Dass, UT Tyler Roosth Endowed Chair and college dean. “Participants can learn about the latest information on legal issues and laws impacting education today.”
