Tyler Resident Named Outstanding Student Employee at UT Tyler

Steven Metcalf of Tyler, a junior civil engineering major at The University of Texas at Tyler, was awarded a 2024 Rising Star Award in recognition of outstanding service as a UT Tyler student employee. He served UT Tyler student success auxiliaries.

Winners must demonstrate a passion for their work, exemplify a strong work ethic and show creativity and innovation.

Metcalf was recognized earlier this month during the annual student employee luncheon. Prior to the luncheon, faculty and staff supervisors nominated student employees for either a Leadership, Rising Star or Spirit Award.
