UT Tyler Charter School to Present Student-Led Theater Production of “Clue: On Stage-High School Edition” April 25-27

April 8, 2024 | Hannah Buchanan

The University of Texas at Tyler University Academy-Tyler campus will present “Clue” at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 25, and 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, at the UT Tyler UA Ornelas Activity Center Ballroom.

Led by UA-Tyler senior Giovanni “Gio” Pinedo of Tyler, “Clue” is the high school stage adaptation based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie, which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game.

Tickets are $15 each for general admission and $10 each for University Academy/UT Tyler faculty, staff and students with ID, and can be purchased in advance at the OAC or at the door – both cash only. Doors open 45 minutes prior to each performance. As a murder mystery, “Clue” may not be appropriate to the youngest elementary audience.

The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. “Clue” is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out: Who did it –– where –– and with what?

Cast members are Daniel Christopher of Chandler, Anthony Meharry of Flint, Mya Kennedy of Winona, and Auden Howell, Lula Burgess, Ceresa Jones, Olivia Hall, Adam Norman, Quinten Bobbit, Michelle Dong, Eliza Dos Santos-Whitten, Raziel Ferrulli and Daniel Flores, all of Tyler.
