Bailey Cox of Henrietta, a sophomore psychology major at The University of Texas at Tyler, was awarded a 2023 Rising Star Award in recognition of outstanding service as a UT Tyler student employee. She served UT Tyler housing and residence life.

Winners must demonstrate a passion for their work, exemplify a strong work ethic and show creativity and innovation.

Cox was recognized earlier this month during the annual student employee luncheon. Prior to the luncheon, student employee supervisors nominated their student employees for either a Leadership, Rising Star or Spirit Award.
