Registration is open for the 2023 East Texas Research Conference hosted by The University of Texas at Tyler on Friday, April 21.

The conference, which is scheduled 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on the UT Tyler campus, showcases the research and  scholarship of faculty and students at UT Tyler and other academic institutions throughout East Texas. The conference is free to attend, and registration is required.

The conference features a keynote address by Dr. Brigham Willis, founding dean of the School of Medicine, as well as oral presentations and poster presentations centered around the theme of “Innovate. Inform. Influence.”

Thirty oral papers and 50-60 posters featuring the interdisciplinary research, teaching and community service facilitated by East Texas universities and colleges will be presented covering such categories as the arts and sciences, health and wellness, education and entrepreneurship.

“Conference participants will have an opportunity to hear and interact with an array of academic and health professionals who will share new and emerging research,” said Dr. Steven Idell, senior vice president for research.
