The University of Texas at Tyler announced the 25 recipients of the Honors Scholar Scholarships in the amount of $40,000 each. 

The high school seniors were selected from hundreds of applications for this competitive scholarship and will become members of the UT Tyler Honors Program. 

Recipients by hometown are:

CONROE – Hira Marrium.

CRANDALL – Cayden Chaffin.

FRUITVALE – Mason Smith.

GLADEWATER – Adamaris Lopez.

GRAND SALINE – Sara Pruneda.

HOUSTON – Adele Nkaa and Ariana Allgood.

KRUM – Alexis Osborn.

LEAGUE CITY – Allison Schwartz.

LINDALE – Brian Shine. 

MABANK – Angelina Florville.

MAGNOLIA – Ava Takenaka.

PALESTINE – Rashad Mims.

SAN ANTONIO – Rachel Smith.

TYLER – Elizabeth Mahfood, Angel Silva, Tallon Clemmer, Jason Rivera, Adonella Contreras, Mitchell Campbell and John Schnell.

VAN – Lizbeth Salazar Sanchez, Maci Jones and Amelia Kines.

WHITEHOUSE – Caden Black.
