The University of Texas at Tyler announced today that BMW of Tyler will be the title sponsor for the 2021 UT Tyler Patriot Golf Classic.

“UT Tyler is extremely pleased to have BMW of Tyler as our very first title sponsor for the Patriot Golf Classic,” said UT Tyler President Michael Tidwell. “We owe Jim Teeter a debt of gratitude for investing in our students and their success.”

The Patriot Classic, which is comprised of the golf tournament and the hole-in-one contest, has raised $2 million in scholarship funds for UT Tyler students.

“Education is essential to a strong and prosperous community, and we are honored to play a part in supporting student success, especially during these uncertain times,” said Teeter, BMW of Tyler center operator and owner.

The BMW of Tyler Patriot Golf Classic will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021, at the Cascades Golf & Country Club in Tyler. Team registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The annual golf tournament is staffed by community volunteers and supported by numerous organizations.

Each team sponsor of the BMW of Tyler Patriot Golf Classic makes a significant impact on the lives of UT Tyler students, said Kent Stucky, UT Tyler interim vice president for university advancement.
