The University of Texas at Tyler online master of business administration program has been recognized as among the best in Texas, President Michael Tidwell announced.

College Choice, a leading authority in college and university rankings and resources, developed its 2017 rankings for the "10 Best Online MBA Programs in Texas" using a few key factors, including annual tuition, financial aid and post-degree career success. This information was researched using a variety of publicly available resources, including PayScale.com, individual school websites and the National Center for Education Statistics.

"We are pleased to receive this acknowledgement of the quality of our program," said Dr. James Lumpkin, The University of Texas at Tyler College of Business and Technology dean. "This ranking is a reflection of the work the faculty and staff are doing to build distinction for the College of Business and Technology."

The College of Business and Technology not only provides students with an invaluable education, but it also provides valuable experience through its research centers, labs, student organizations and external internships.

The college currently serves more than 2,600 students. It is comprised of five departments and the School of Technology. To support its academic programs, the college also has two labs and six outreach centers.
