The University of Texas at Tyler will feature the first of two Senior Exhibitions for the spring 2017 semester at the Meadows Gallery. "Come With" opens Monday, March 20.

This show features six seniors and is in partial fulfillment of the bachelor of fine arts degree. Student artists are Brittany Taylor of Hallsville, Alayna Goldsmith of Lindale, Allyson Castillo of Longview, Jerid Watson of Mineola, Nora Schreiber of Tyler and Harrison March of Waskom.

A public reception with gallery talks by the artists is 6 p.m. Thursday, March 23 at the gallery. The show concludes Friday, March 31. The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery is in the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.

Allyson Castillo's work interprets the idea of parallel universes through the use of color hand-cut paper, systematic patterns and familiar yet dream-like landscapes.

Alayna Goldsmith's glass and steel sculptural forms are the response of her personal journal through human relationships, their after effects and the will power to overcome them.

Harrison March's work creates scenarios using ordinary mundane objects that ask the views to use their own connections to create a narrative.

Nora Schreiber creates mixed media installations that spread the idea of giving back to others and practicing empathy.

Brittany Taylor's work is a responsive action of manipulating paper and using it to express the concepts of perfection, conformity and the importance of individuality.

Jerid Watson takes materials from the earth to create a collective of ceramic vessels that range in form, color and surface.
