RMS Work 7 Bones Dancing

The University of Texas at Tyler is proud to announce three new exhibitions in campus galleries.

Now through Thursday, Nov. 17, the Meadows Gallery is presenting an exhibition featuring the work of three Baylor University professors who are masters in their fields: Robbie Barber, sculpture; Berry J. Klingman, printmaking; and Paul A. McCoy, ceramics.

"The works of these three gentlemen are so different from one another, but they do seem to have a common interest in the role objects play in social, political and spiritual aspects of civilization," said Michelle Taff, gallery and media coordinator for UT Tyler's Department of Art and Art History. "This is a wonderful, rich show full of thought-provoking and just plain beautiful artwork. We are thrilled to present this exhibition to Tyler, and as always, we welcome all visitors."

A reception with gallery talks will be 6 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the gallery, located in the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

"MA/MFA: New Works" is open in the Fine Arts Complex Gallery until Friday, Oct. 28. This exhibition features the work of seven students enrolled in the master of arts or master of fine arts program – Jake Arnold of Bullard, Brandie Covington of Dallas, Kirsti Smith of Canton, Carrie Mason Davis, Joanna Kathryn Gifford and Mary Ann Post, all of Tyler; and Brandon Witschi of West Virginia.

In addition, Remixed Intuitions is open in the University Center Gallery, located on the UC's third floor. This exhibition showcases the paintings of UT Tyler bachelor of fine arts student Lisa Horlander of Tyler. The reception for Remixed Intuitions will be 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the gallery. The exhibition concludes Friday, Dec. 16.
