Preliminary fall enrollment for The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University
Center increased by 33 percent from last fall to 208 students, Dr. Van Patterson,
LUC director, announced.
The LUC, which also saw an increase in spring 2016, continues to grow and expand its
academic offerings.
"We're seeing a great reaction to our new industrial technology program and partnerships
with Kilgore College and Northeast Texas Community College. We are offering the degrees
students want and employers are seeking," Patterson said.
Responding to the needs of the area, the LUC is collaborating with area community
colleges to offer seamless degree options for Longview-area residents. The partnerships
offer bachelor degrees in nursing, criminal justice and industrial technology.
Located at 3201 North Eastman Road, the Longview University Center offers degree-completion
opportunities to citizens of Longview and surrounding areas. For more information,
