UT Tyler 2016 New Patriot Orientation Sessions Announced

The University of Texas at Tyler offers New Patriot Orientation sessions for undergraduate students this summer, Ona Tolliver, assistant vice president and dean of students, announced.

This year's New Patriot Orientation sessions for freshmen are June 9-10, June 16-17, June 23-24, July 7-8 and July 21-22.

All incoming UT Tyler freshmen are expected to attend New Patriot Orientation. There is no upfront cost as the $75 fee, which covers meals and materials, is included in fall 2016 tuition and fees. Additional costs are $50 per adult guest and $25 per guest age 16 and younger. Before attending orientation, freshman students must return a signed acceptance letter along with a $100 deposit to the UT Tyler admissions office.

Transfer orientation sessions are May 20 and Aug. 5. Costs are $20 per adult guest and $10 per guest age 16 and younger. There is no cost for transfer students to attend. To register, visit uttyler.edu/admissions/orientation/.
