The University of Texas at Tyler will feature 2016 senior art exhibitions on campus, Michelle Taff, gallery coordinator, announced.
All exhibitions are public and prepared and executed in partial fulfillment of the UT Tyler bachelor of fine arts degree.
"This semester's BFA exhibitions represent the wide array of high quality artwork that is being consistently produced in UT Tyler's art program," said Taff. "They feature a range of works, from serene paintings to thought-provoking ceramic sculpture to delicate installation pieces. In their work, the artists explore themes such as solitude, memory, popular culture and human interaction."
"Reveries" begins Monday, April 18 at the University Center Gallery, and it features work by Kelsey Bailey of Tyler and Tammy Smith Lawless of West Monroe, La. A reception and gallery talk will be 6 p.m. Thursday, April 21 at the gallery. The exhibition concludes Friday, April 29.
"interFACE" begins Monday, April 25 in the Fine Arts Complex Gallery, featuring work by Jeremy Haynes of Tyler, Mario Munguia Jr. of Paris and Chara "Joy" Malone of Santa Barbara, Calif. A reception with gallery talks will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at that gallery. The exhibition concludes Friday, May 6.
Both gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
