The University of Texas at Tyler will recognize Ethics Week with a public discussion
panel featuring community experts, Dr. Howard Patterson, vice president for student
affairs, announced.
The UT Tyler Center for Ethics will present "Have Times Changed? –Building Community
Through Ethical Perspectives on the Syrian Refugee Crisis" 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday,
Feb. 18 at the Ornelas Activity Center, 3402 Old Omen Road in Tyler.
The panel will discuss their perspectives on the following question: "What are the
prevailing values and issues that should inform our decisions regarding the Syrian
refugee crisis in the U.S.?"
Tyler business leaders and the UT Tyler community are welcome to attend. Participants
