The University of Texas at Tyler today announced the expansion of its 100 percent online MBA portfolio with the addition of an accelerated MBA with a concentration in marketing. The program offers six start dates annually and is accepting applications.

This accelerated online MBA program focuses on business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing in sectors such as healthcare, telecommunications, hospitality and travel, and professional services. The program is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).

The 36-credit-hour degree can be completed online in as little as 12 months, with no on-campus requirement. Students – including busy professionals – can complete their coursework on their own time while enjoying full access to UT Tyler's esteemed faculty and resources.

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. For more information or to apply, please visit http://online.uttyler.edu/online/151106/.

"This program is designed to position our graduates to be relevant in the service-driven economy," says Dr. Krist Swimberghe, Chair of the Department of Management and Marketing and Associate Professor of Marketing at UT Tyler's College of Business and Technology. "Our students will be exposed to a tool kit that allows them to take advantage of career opportunities in diverse industries ranging from healthcare and hospitality to banking and retailing."

The new marketing concentration joins UT Tyler's other successful accelerated online MBA concentrations, including the MBA in Healthcare Management, which is currently ranked 15th in the country by thebestschools.org.

"UT Tyler is launching the MBA concentration in Marketing as a direct response to the strong demand from current and prospective students," said Dr. James Lumpkin, Dean of the College of Business and Technology. "As the market for managers in the services marketing discipline continues to grow, top employers are requiring higher levels of practical and academic training from candidates looking to advance into leadership positions."
UT Tyler has partnered with Academic Partnerships (AP) to support its accelerated MBA programs.

"Business degrees – specialized MBAs in particular -- are highly valued by today's employers who are seeking specific domain expertise in candidates," said Randy Best, founder and chairman of Academic Partnerships. "AP is honored to support the College of Business and Technology and to help make its high-quality degree programs more accessible to working professionals."
