The University of Texas at Tyler will hold its Fall 2015 Patriot Preview Day for prospective students and their families 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, Angie Copeland, interim director of admissions, announced.
Check-in and on-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center on the UT Tyler main campus. Activities throughout the day include campus tours, academic information sessions and a university showcase.
To register, visit the Patriot Preview Day homepage and then download the UT Tyler Preview Day event app on https://guidebook.com/ or via the Apple App Store or Android Google Play Store on respective mobile devices.
The university showcase will give both parents and students the opportunity to meet representatives of UT Tyler faculty and student organizations.
Academic sessions allow prospective students to receive information about degrees offered in academic departments. Discussions will include general information about degree offerings, programs and specific program requirements.
In the special interest sessions, participants will hear about UT Tyler’s many opportunities for student involvement including the Honors and Global Awareness Through Education programs, as well as a parent-interest panel with staff representatives.
Lunch is provided, and prospective students will each receive a Patriot Preview Day goodie bag.
