Dr. Traci Murray of Dallas, an alumna from The University of Texas at Tyler, was awarded a post-doctorate fellowship in public health from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Yong Tai Wang, College of Nursing and Health Sciences dean, announced.

She will start the two-year competitive fellowship next month in Fort Meyers, Fla.

Murray graduated from UT Tyler with a Ph.D. in nursing in December 2014.

UT Tyler’s doctorate in nursing program is offered entirely online with the exception of a five-day orientation each summer prior to beginning course work.
