The University of Texas at Tyler held spring 2015 commencement ceremonies May 1 and
2, President Rodney H. Mabry announced.
Nine hundred eighty nine degree candidates were recognized in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

Dr. Ross Sherman, UT Tyler interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, gave remarks and conferred all degrees.
Presentation and certification of master’s, baccalaureate and doctoral degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university’s colleges: Dr. Martin Slann, Arts and Sciences; Dr. James Lumpkin, Business and Technology; Dr. Wesley Hickey, Education and Psychology; Dr. James Nelson, Engineering; and Dr. Yong Tai Wang, Nursing and Health Sciences.
Brittany Childs, UT Tyler director of alumni relations, gave alumni association presentations.
