The University of Texas at Tyler Center for Family and Small Enterprises will hold the first event of its Family Business Series, Dr. Jerry Gilley, College of Business and Technology interim dean, announced.
The public event, featuring the business Motor Trike Inc., will be 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 in front of the UT Tyler Business Building, at parking lot 9.
During the come-and-go event, participants may tour one of Motor Trike’s RVs and enjoy an up-close look at some of their trikes.
The series will provide an interactive learning and networking experience for the UT Tyler community as well as family and small business owners in the East Texas area.
Motor Trike is headquartered in Troup and manufactures conversion kits that transform two-wheeled motorcycles into three-wheeled trikes. Motor Trike is one of the nation’s leading trike conversion manufacturers and has provided UT Tyler College of Business and Technology students and faculty with numerous active and action-learning experiences within the past three years.
The UT Tyler Center for Family and Small Enterprises supports and encourages the success of family and small businesses in the East Texas area by providing a forum for education, resources, advice and counsel, networking opportunities and interactive programs.
The center focuses on the issues and challenges that family and small businesses must overcome to grow and prosper. It also seeks to develop and disseminate information relevant to the continuity, health and performance of these enterprises.
