The University of Texas at Tyler held fall 2013 commencement ceremonies Dec. 13 and 14, President Rodney H. Mabry announced.
Nine hundred nine degree candidates were recognized in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

President Mabry gave remarks and conferred all degrees.
Presentation and certification of master’s and baccalaureate degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university’s colleges: Dr. Martin Slann, Arts and Sciences; Dr. Jerry Gilley, Business and Technology; Dr. Ross Sherman, Education and Psychology; Dr. James Nelson, Engineering and Computer Science; and Dr. Pam Martin, Nursing and Health Sciences. Martin also presented and certified the nursing doctoral degree candidates.
UT Tyler alumni representatives Deja Rollins, associate producer with CBS 19, and Cristi Parsons, principal with Hallsville Independent School District, gave alumni association presentations.
