The University of Texas at Tyler will hold fall 2013 Patriot Preview Day for prospective students and their families 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, Sarah Bowdin, interim assistant vice president for enrollment management, announced.

Check-in and on-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center. Activities throughout the day include campus tours, open and academic sessions and the university showcase.

Academic sessions allow prospective students to receive information about degrees offered in academic departments. Discussions will include general information about degree offerings, programs and requirements.

The university showcase will give both parents and students opportunities to meet UT Tyler faculty and student organization representatives.

In the special interest sessions, participants will hear about UT Tyler’s many opportunities for student involvement, Honors Program and Global Awareness Through Education opportunities, the athletics meet-and-greet and the parent-interest panel with staff representatives.

Breakfast, lunch and a Patriot Preview Day t-shirt will be provided.
