Samaritan Counseling Center, CBS 19/London Broadcasting, and The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Center, co-presenters of the Katie Couric lecture, are providing discounted tickets for students to attend the lecture on Oct. 8, Susan Thomae-Morphew, executive director of the UT Tyler Cowan Center, announced.

The lecture will begin at 8 p.m. at the UT Tyler Cowan Center.

UT Tyler students can attend the lecture free of charge by presenting their student IDs at the student entrance the night of the lecture.

All other students in public schools, community colleges and other universities can purchase tickets for $10 each. Regular ticket prices range from $27 to $57.

“We encourage parents and teachers to bring their children and their classes. Each ticket will be $10,” said Thomae-Morphew.

Tickets can be purchased at the UT Tyler Cowan Center box office by calling 903.566.7424 or online at www.cowancenter.org. Box office hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The lecture is jointly presented by Samaritan Counseling Center, CBS 19/London Broadcasting and UT Tyler Cowan Center.
