The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center nursing program held an orientation session on Aug. 21 for its newest level one nursing students, Dr. Van Patterson, director, announced.
“It is always enjoyable meeting students who are entering the nursing program for the first time. Their energy and eagerness are contagious,” said Patterson. “Many of the students are from the East Texas area, but we also have some that have traveled from as far away as Houston, Fort Worth and Seattle, Wash. I hope the city of Longview will join us in welcoming these students to our community.”
Prospective students should contact Michelle Livingston, nursing lab coordinator and student pre-nursing advisor, 903.663.8100 or mlivingston@uttyler.edu, to schedule an appointment.
Additional information about the nursing program is also available online at www.uttyler.edu/luc and at the LUC’s new Facebook page, www.facebook.com/Longview.University.Center.
