The 2013 Advanced Placement Summer Institute for middle and secondary school teachers will be July 29 – Aug. 1 at The University of Texas at Tyler, Dr. Michael Odell, UT Tyler Ingenuity Center executive director and AP Institute director, announced.
Hosted by the Ingenuity Center; UT Tyler East Texas Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Center and Tyler Independent School District, the 30-hour institute offers Pre-AP and AP certification training in various courses.
Cost is $425 ($475 after Monday, June 3). Registration information may be found at http://www.ingenuitycenter.org/teachers/tyler-apsi/.
Institute courses include Pre-AP Science (Middle School), Pre-AP English (Middle School) and Pre-AP Math (Middle School) as well as AP Chemistry, AP Spanish Language, AP Calculus and AP English Literature and Composition.
Attendance at all sessions is mandatory to earn a certificate of completion.
