The University of Texas at Tyler’s annual Greek Week is April 1 – 5, Brittany Childs, Department of Student Life and Leadership assistant director, announced.
Greek Week unites the UT Tyler Greek community through friendly competition and fun-filled activities.
This year’s activities include faculty/staff appreciation breakfast, lip sync, “can castle” canned food drive, a campus service project at the East Texas Food Bank, Greek banner competition and field-day events. Events open to the campus community include speaker Rick Barnes from Campuspeak, faculty/staff appreciation breakfast, can castle, the service project and attendance at the lip sync competition.

A committee consisting of current Greek student volunteers organizes the event annually.
UT Tyler currently recognizes three fraternities and three sororities.
The UT Tyler Office of Greek Life promotes excellence in scholarship, leadership and service while challenging members to live according to the principles outlined by their own organizations. The office also strives to enhance the collegiate experience of fraternity men and women and their involvement in the Greek community through leadership opportunities, educational programs and other services aimed to develop the students through their journey of becoming UT Tyler and Greek alumni.
