The University of Texas at Tyler Fine Arts Complex Gallery currently features the 2013 senior exhibitions, Ray Sikes, gallery coordinator, announced.
The public exhibitions, collectively titled “11 WOMEN,” are prepared and executed in partial fulfillment of the university’s bachelor of fine arts degree.
The 2013 exhibiting student artists are: Trudy Atteberry of Hawkins, Chelsea Baranski of Canton, Rebecca Danner of Gilmer, Emily Denton of White Oak, Rachel Goodwin of Whitehouse, Summer High of Gilmer, Jill Hendrix of Hideaway, Courtney Hollon of Van, Jennifer Slagle of Canton, Sydney Steen of Grapevine and Kelsey Warner of Lakeway.
Gallery talks will be at noon Wednesday, April 3 and April 17 and Thursday, May 2 at the gallery, which is located in the Fine Arts Complex. A reception for all the candidates will be 6 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 at the gallery. The complete exhibition will run through Friday, May 10.
“Sets of the exhibitions will be featured at the gallery every two weeks. Works include non-objective art, collages, oil paintings and varied mixed media completed during study at UT Tyler,” Sikes said.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
