The University of Texas at Tyler will offer the 2013 “Outdoor Adventure” Trip to the New England area and Canada this summer, Bob Hepler, recreational sports director, announced.
The Rec Sports’ “Great Maine & Canada Outdoor Adventure Trip” is open to both UT Tyler students and non-students.
“This year’s trip features white water rafting, sailing, sea kayaking, hiking, surfing, three days in Boston, mountain climbing and much more. You’ll need a passport and a good level of physical fitness,” Hepler said.
Cost is $950 for UT Tyler students, $1,500 for UT Tyler faculty/staff and $1,900 for non-students/faculty/staff. It includes round trip air from Dallas-Fort Worth to Boston, all activities, lodging and most meals.
A non-refundable $300 payment is needed to reserve a spot. Full payment deadline is Monday, July 1.
Participants will travel July 23 – Aug. 4 and visit Boston, North Woods, Downeast Maine (Machias), the Southern Maine coast, Fredericton, NB, Canada and the New Brunswick coast (Bay of Fundy).
The UT Tyler Department of Recreational Sports enhances student life and campus wellness through a variety of activities and programs, which includes club and intramural sports, fitness classes, “Outdoor Adventures” and wellness education.
