The University of Texas at Tyler’s online graduate human resource development program has received top ranking in a national report, Dr. Harold Doty, College of Business and Technology dean, announced.
The program is ranked 12th nationally in its category by The Best Schools, an independent, national organization.
This achievement puts UT Tyler among major universities such as Abilene Christian University, Villanova University, Florida International University and Regis University.
“Our faculty, programs and students are among the best, and our reputation is growing. It is exciting to see others around the country recognize this program and the college in this way,” Doty said.
The organization selected its ranking of online master of human resources degree programs by evaluating the program’s quality, types of courses offered, as well as faculty, awards, rankings and reputation, including the school’s reputation for effectively providing online degree programs.
Offered within the UT Tyler Department of Human Resource Development and Technology, the online degree program allows students to conveniently earn a master of human resource development degree at their own pace, working with faculty to design research-based projects that relate to the workplace.
“Our master of science and Ph.D. HRD programs are the only degree granting programs housed in a college of business in the United States, which is a crowning achievement. In my opinion, we have the best faculty and staff in the nation because of their outstanding reputation for research and teaching. The University of Texas at Tyler could not be better represented or served,” said Dr. Jerry W. Gilley, UT Tyler Department of Human Resource Development and Technology chair.
