Students at The University of Texas at Tyler have the opportunity to participate in the 2013 “UT Tyler in Shanghai” Summer Program, Dr. Jill Blondin, Center for Global Education director, announced.
The course titled “China Immersion” may be counted as six undergraduate or graduate-level credit hours for any major, if approved by an adviser or department chair.
Estimated cost is $3,750 plus UT Tyler tuition for three credit hours and includes airfare, lodging and field trips. The cost may differ due to currency changes. Payment deadline is Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.

Students will travel to Shanghai, China May 12 – June 1, 2013 and stay at East China Normal University, one of the top intuitions in that country. There, they will participate in interdisciplinary classes covering Chinese economy, society, health care, government, education and traditional arts, such as calligraphy and martial arts.
Limited scholarship funds are available.
