The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery will feature an exhibition by Glenn Downing beginning Monday, Aug. 20, Ray Sikes, gallery coordinator, announced.
An opening reception and gallery talk will be 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at the gallery. The exhibition will close on Friday, Oct. 5.
A Texas native, Downing is a noted sculpture and drawing artist. He holds a bachelor of fine arts from UT Austin and a master of fine arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.
His work has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions not only in Texas but also nationwide.
The Meadows Gallery is located in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
