Space is still available for The University of Texas at Tyler “Italian Adventure,” Dr. Jill Blondin, Center for Global Education director, announced.
The public trip is one of many travel/study opportunities scheduled through the Center for Global Education.
Belize, China, Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands are among travel/study course destinations set for this summer.
“Students have the opportunity to visit and learn about various cultures and areas firsthand,” Blondin said. “The ‘Italian Adventure’ is a noncredit opportunity for those seeking a truly unique travel experience. My area of specialty is Italian art, and we will see some of the greatest works of art ever created.”
Participants will travel on Oct. 1 – 9 and visit Rome, Orvieto, Florence and Assisi to study art and architecture.
“Unlike traditional travel/study programs, participants in the “Italian Adventure” do not pay tuition, which keeps costs lower,” she added.
The “UT Tyler Italian Adventure” is co-sponsored by the Friends of UT Tyler Travel Program, which provides unique insight and additional opportunities that may not be experienced through traditional UT Tyler travel study courses, Blondin said.
UT Tyler also offers students additional travel abroad/study opportunities including the British Studies Programs in collaboration with the University of Southern Mississippi and the Abbey in France, she added.
