Beginning Jan. 9, The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center will offer online professional development courses in legal studies, Dr. Donna Dickerson, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, announced.
Six online legal certificate courses are available for non-credit and include paralegal, advanced paralegal, legal secretary, alternative dispute resolution, advanced legal research and writing and intellectual property law. Students may complete each online session and receive their respective certificate in seven or 14 weeks.

Experienced attorneys, paralegals and other legal professionals teach all current courses through a partnership between UT Tyler LUC and the Center for Legal Studies, a nationwide entity that provides online legal education to students at more than 1,000 colleges and universities.
