Publication Date: 10/30/2019

The University of Texas at Tyler announced that its online master of business administration is among the top 10 best programs in the country.

Independent entity Study.com, an online resource that provides free college and career resources to more than 40 million visitors every month, recognized UT Tyler's online MBA program as the seventh best in the nation for its accessibility, affordability and quality of education and faculty.

"Our faculty and staff are dedicated to the University's strategic plan of positioning every student for career success," said Dr. Robert Beatty, dean of college of business. "They work hard to ensure our programs meet the highest academic standards and our students, whether on campus or online, are supported."

The site specifically cited the college's focus on career development training with features like electronic portfolio assistance, professional branding help and access to an employer relations specialist who ensures students are ready for life following graduation.

"We are very proud to be recognized as one of the best online MBA programs in the nation because it proves that we are finding innovative ways to help our students succeed and further their careers," said Dr. Tammy Cowart, associate professor of business law and director of graduate programs.

To rank schools, Study.com uses data from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as school and program-specific details. They look at the following criteria: tuition cost, financial aid, admittance rates, educational support and resources, retention rates, graduation rates, student-faculty ration and career resources and job placement.
