ETX New Venture Day

The ETX Launchpad is hosting the 2024 ETX New Venture Day on April 5 at the UT Tyler. The ETX New Venture Day consists of activities designed to inspire and promote innovation and entrepreneurship in our East Texas region.

We invite our East Texas community to attend and show support to our student!

East Texas High School Idea Challenge

The East Texas High School Idea Challenge is the largest innovation competition in East Texas for high school students. The Idea Challenge is designed to encourage, support, and inspire the next generation of inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs with the goal of growing East Texas’ knowledge and economy.

All East Texas high schools are invited to submit teams of 1-3 students to participate in the Challenge. The winning students will receive a $5,000 scholarship and the runners-up will receive a $2,500 scholarship to study at The University of Texas at Tyler.

Business Model Competition

The Business Model Competition is designed to test and validate your big idea, make changes (iterations or pivots) based on evidence found and insights gained, and repeat this process until the crucial aspects of your business are fully validated.

Prizes for the winners are:

$4,000 - First Place
$2,000 - Second Place
$1,000 - Third Place

We invite everyone not participating in the Business Model Competition to attend and encourage our students and support entrepreneurship and innovation at our school and our East Texas region.

This event is open to all! Snacks and drinks will be provided.
