Requirements and recommendations for the bachelor of science degree in psychology are identical to the requirements for the bachelor of arts degree in psychology, except that four upper-level, advisor-approved courses in science and/or math must be included among the twenty-one semester hours of upper-level general elective coursework. Some Bachelor's degree programs require that students select a minor to supplement their major requirements. Psychology may be chosen to satisfy such requirements for a minor. A minor typically requires 18 semester hours in psychology, 12 of which must be at the upper level. Students are strongly encouraged to consult a psychology academic advisor prior to enrolling in courses intended to count toward the minor.
