Safe Walk Program

What is Safe Walk?

Safe Walk is a Police-run nighttime safety initiative created to provide FREE escorts to and from parking lots and other on campus locations for students and employees.

Operating Hours

Safe Walk runs 24/7/365 for UT Tyler students and employees.

Service Area

The Police Department personnel will accompany students, faculty and staff between all on campus locations. Please email police@uttyler.edu if you are unsure of whether or not your desired location is serviced by the Safe Walk program.

Requesting a Safe Walk Escort

Please call our 24 hour police line, 903.566.7300, to request an escort through the Safe Walk program. Upon request, a uniformed member of the UT Tyler Police Department will meet you and provide an escort to any on campus location (including all university housing facilities).
