Student Conduct

When incidents happen, primarily on campus, and University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) students are involved, our office is the leading university entity that works with students to resolve disciplinary matters. Students, faculty, and staff who believe that there has been a violation can contact the Office of Student Conduct and Intervention to discuss options available for reporting incidents to the appropriate authorities. Office staff can also assist victims of assault or harassment, and they are also available for educational programs on a variety of related topics.

Foundational to our work is the education of students through prevention, intervention, and leadership opportunities. The conduct process is intended to:

• Respond to alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct and University Policies and Procedures;
• Serve as an educational experience promoting the holistic development of the student; and
• Provide students with the opportunities to become citizen leaders by assuming a central role in the education of fellow students, adjudication of alleged student conduct violations, and development of student conduct policies.
