Time, Day, Month

Place in this order: time, date, place.

Use style below:

Correct:

6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28

Incorrect:

6:00 pm Sat, February 28

Note: When a month is used with a specific date, abbreviate only Jan., Feb., Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov. and Dec. Spell out when using alone, or with a year alone (for example: February 2013). Other months of the year are never abbreviated (March, April, May, June, July).

Correct:

Movie Night, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the University Center.

Incorrect:

Movie Night, Wednesday, January 28 @ 8:00 pm in the University Center.

Correct:

UT Tyler Innovation Academy meetings scheduled for February:

• 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the UT Tyler Ornelas Activity Center.
• 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Palestine Campus.
• 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Longview University Center.

Incorrect:

UT Tyler Innovation Academy meetings scheduled for Feb.:

• Monday, February 13, at the UT Ornelas Activity Center at 6:00 pm.
• February 16, Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the the Palestine Campus
