OU Campus has an internal messaging system that allows users to send messages to other users and groups of users. The Inbox Gadget is a dashboard gadget that allows users to preview the messages in their Inbox and navigate straight to an individual message.

All messages should include a copy sent to a user's email address by selecting the "Send a copy by email" box.

The gadget includes the following features and functionality:

• Number of unread messages, if any, in the inbox
• Username of the user who sent the message
• Subject line
• Date the message was sent
• The ability to click through to the message
