Kate Starnes serves as the Vice President for Operations for Health Affairs. Prior to transitioning full time to legal affairs, she served as vice president for the university faculty plan where she oversaw physician contracting, recruitment and operations. Kate is also an assistant professor in the Department of Healthcare Policy, Economics and Management, where she has taught Health Law and Ethics. She holds degrees from Texas A&M University, University of Houston and a Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University.
Most importantly, Kate is married to her wonderful husband, Drew. They have two spirited boys who keep them busy and entertained. In their spare time they enjoy playing sports, attending Texas Aggie football games and working on the family peach farm.
