What attracted you to this field?

I worked in a research lab as an undergraduate. I love conducting field work and analyzing the data, but most of all, I love learning.

Why did you choose UT Tyler?

I chose UT Tyler because of the interesting and collaborative research opportunities.

What do you like most about UT Tyler?

I really enjoyed the small department and the close-knit relationships among the faculty and graduate students.

What are your career aspirations?

I am interested in working in a research lab and possibly a tenure track position at a small university.

What is your work experience?

I have worked in various research labs. My research has focused on aquatic invertebrates.

Do you have any advice to pass along to other students interested in this program?

Be sure to ask questions and be inquisitive. There is no such thing as a dumb question.
