In response, both individuals and organizations now invest in health and wellness initiatives, be it from strategic training to addressing nutrition, burnout and sleep quality.

The University of Texas at Tyler’s Bachelor of Arts in wellness degree holistically examines the expanding field and equips you to educate others through multiple channels. With this knowledge, prepare to advocate for and create health and wellness programming in East Texas or promote lifestyle changes in a writing, corporate or coaching role.

Curriculum

Learn to create effective wellness strategies and programs to improve health. Begin to understand health promotion and evidence-based practice from a cross-disciplinary scientific foundation.

Develop your expertise further with an optional minor in entrepreneurship, management, marketing, psychology, Spanish, sports communication, speech communications or another program approved by your advisor.

What Can You Do With a Bachelor’s Degree in Wellness?

Nearly all BA in wellness graduates find work in their chosen fields soon after graduation or pursue graduate studies related to physical education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training or medicine. 

The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 12% greater demand for health education specialists and community health workers through 2031, much faster than the average for all occupations.
