Laura Young, BSN, RN, PHN, is a dedicated public health nurse with over two decades of experience. Her career has spanned various states and sectors, including both public and private healthcare. Laura’s expertise extends to hands-on nursing and education.

Her passion lies in serving vulnerable populations, which she has done through roles in migrant health, community health, and low-income maternal and child health, often in rural areas. Laura’s commitment to making a difference led her to facilitate the implementation of the Nurse-Family Partnership program, benefiting numerous young women and children throughout Northeast Texas.

Beyond nursing, Laura has an affinity for program development. She currently leads the Child & Perinatal Psychiatry Access Networks - Northeast Texas team. Additionally, she volunteers at Bethesda Medical Clinic, embodying servant leadership principles. Laura aspires to contribute her nursing skills to medical missions abroad.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys landscaping, traveling, and boating. Her multifaceted interests reflect her well-rounded approach to life and service.
