CPAN at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center provides a variety of options for building a knowledge base for providers around child and adolescent mental health. All education is funded by the State of Texas and all services are offered at no cost to providers.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
CPAN Continuing Medical Education webinars are held once a month from noon-1 p.m. Pre-registration is not required. One CME credit is granted to PCPs who attend the entire session. To request a calendar of events or a link to participate in a specific session, email us.
All live sessions are recorded, and upon completion are posted to our CPAN YouTube channel for public viewing. However, CME credit will only be offered when sessions are viewed live.
Project ECHO
Enrolled CPAN providers will have access to the Project ECHO series offered through the University of New Mexico.
Using proven adult learning techniques and interactive video technology, the ECHO Model™ connects providers with specialists in regular real-time collaborative sessions. (Learn more about Project ECHO)
The ECHO series includes seven sessions throughout the year, designed around case-based learning and mentorship by child and adolescent psychiatrists. During these sessions, PCP cohorts combine interactive learning and case-based sharing aspects of in-person training with the improved access and convenience of connecting virtually. This specialized training assists primary care providers in gaining the confidence and added expertise required to meet the needs of young patients with mild-to-moderate behavioral health needs right in their practices.
Registration is required for Project ECHO sessions. For more information or to register, email us.
