The School of Performing Arts is pleased to announce the UT Tyler Music Ambassadors Outreach Program beginning in the 2020–2021 academic year. For its inaugural season, the program features the Patriot Brass Quintet and the Swoop Jazz Collective. Coached by UT Tyler faculty, the ensembles perform concerts on and off campus and collaborate in media projects connecting with the community.

Students may audition for both groups, but are selected for only one ensemble each year. To receive and retain their scholarship offer, students enroll in the appropriate course and fulfill all rehearsal and performance obligations for the academic year. The Ambassador ensembles are auditioned each year and students of all majors are encouraged to apply.
