Javier Deluna Participates in Envision by WorldStrides Pathways to STEM Summer Program
Javier Alejandro Deluna, a fifth grader at The University of Texas at Tyler University Academy – Palestine, was named a 2024 Envision by WorldStrides scholar and participated in the organization’s National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM summer program in Dallas.
Envision by WorldStrides provides high-aspiring students in elementary school through college the unique opportunit to turn their career and life aspirations into reality. Students are annually nominated by their teachers or guardians to participate in the weeklong academic and career-oriented development program.

said Shelly
Parsons, interim campus director. “We are so proud and excited for him to have had
this hands-on
learning opportunity that not only deepens his creativity and problem-solving experience,
but also
helps build character and instill values that will have a lasting impact. Javier’s
hard work, dedication
and positive attitude made him an exemplary student who will undoubtedly continue
to achieve
great things in the future.”
At UA – Palestine, Deluna participates in several extracurricular activities including
UIL
mathematics, spelling and creative writing. He is on the All-A Honor Roll and enjoys
playing soccer
and video games.
“I would like to thank my instructors and director for choosing me to take part in
this phenomenal
journey,” Deluna said. “I am eager and open minded to encounter new experiences and
have
become somewhat of a trailblazer with this opportunity.”
