Bachelor of Music

Gavin, an East Texas native, graduated from Van High School in 2018, then pursued music at the University of Texas at Tyler. At UT Tyler, he was involved in the Honors Program, music organizations, and prestigious performing ensembles.

Graduating Summa Cum Laude in December 2022 with degrees in Music Education and Trumpet Performance, he's now pursuing an MBA. Gavin began teaching at Kilgore ISD in Fall 2023, instructing high school and middle school bands while staying active in local musical groups.

His affiliations include the Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and International Trumpet Guild. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and water sports.
