Clayton is a proud alumnus of UT Tyler and is a 2015 Civil Engineering graduate. Since graduation, his career has been ahead of schedule. He went from being an entry level engineer in 2015 at a local geotechnical engineering firm to leading the geotechnical department by the beginning of 2017. In July of 2017, he accepted a position with Terracon Consultants, one of the largest engineering consulting firms in the country to open a new office in Tyler.  He received a Senior Associate designation in 2020 and was named Principal in 2022.  He has since opened offices in Longview and Texarkana, and currently leads the Northeast Texas regional operations for these offices.

He received Terracon’s client service award in 2018 and the Distinguished Young Alumnus award for the UT Tyler College of Engineering in 2022.  He is very active with the university and has held numerous positions within the community including being an officer of the Discovery Science Place, an officer of the American Society of Civil Engineers and many more.
