Publishing Pages / Sending Pages for Approval

Send For Approval
(New faculty and staff users in OU Campus will use the "send for approval" button to publish pages to the UT Tyler web site. UT Tyler student workers/assistants will continue to use the "send for approval" button to publish pages as part of the UT Tyler web guidelines. )

Follow these instructions to use the "send for approval" process:

Once you are finished editing your page, select the "save" button, then you select "Send for Approval".


Next, you can send a message to the person who approves your page.
NOTE: Be sure to select Send external email. This will speed up the approval process.
The "To" will appear to send to "rkelly", however the entire web team has access to review and publish pages.


 You can view and compose messages from the Dashboard/Workflow section in OU Campus.



Pages sent during the business day are typically approved quickly very quickly in the order they are received.

Publishing Pages

Follow these instructions to publish your page to your website:

1. Select the Publish Now button:


2. Run your Final Check:

  • Check Spelling
  • Check Links


3. Select Publish:



Send for Review

1. Follow THESE instructions if you wish to send a page to a user for review:
For example, if you wish to have a member of the Web team assist you with a page.

  • Select Send to User
  • Find the user you wish to send the page to


  •  Write a subject and message for the user
  • Select "external email"
  • Send
